Support Bote al Agua

Bote al Agua is a non-profit in Tigre, Argentina. Every boat that reaches the river is made possible by people, companies and schools who support it.

How is Bote al Agua funded?

Where we are: Tigre is a river town about 30 km north of Buenos Aires, Argentina, at the gateway to the Paraná Delta. Rowing and riverside clubs are part of everyday life here.

According to a 2023 chronicle by Philippe Enquin (opens in a new tab), the workshops are funded by the founder's own money, a workshop space lent by local business owners, donations, boat sales and courses paid for by private schools. Workshops for kids from Tigre's neighbourhoods were free (La Nación, 2019).

What has been achieved

  • More than 100 kids took part and built about 20 boats in the first four years (La Nación, 2023 (opens in a new tab)).
  • Nearly all school-age kids in the Nueva Esperanza neighbourhood of Tigre Sur, about 70, took part (PRESENTE RSE, 2021).
  • Projects with public, private and Delta island schools (see workshops for schools).

Donate

Donations are one of the ways the workshops are funded. To arrange a donation, message us on Instagram or Facebook. We do not publish bank details on this website.

Buy a boat

Many boats built in the workshop have been sold or exchanged for donations (La Nación, 2023), and every sale helps fund the next workshops. They are real wooden rowing boats, tested on the river. Get in touch to ask whether a boat is available.

Companies and schools

There are many ways to help: local business owners have supported the project by lending the workshop space, and private schools that book the course help fund workshops for kids from neighbourhoods in Tigre.
